Events with traditional dance roots to mark our 10th anniversary

Ten out of Ten

Did you know that the Traditional Dance Forum of Scotland was established in 2014? Join us for Ten out of Ten – a series of events with traditional dance roots across Scotland in autumn 2024 to mark our 10th anniversary. We start with 10 events across Edinburgh celebrating the diversity and breadth of traditional dance activities by our 200+ members. We hope that this may inspire you to collate the top Ten out of Ten in your stomping ground. How about the Ten out of Ten from the Scottish Highlands and Islands to the Scottish Borders? Contact us and we will be pleased to help spread the word.

Some of the Ten out of Ten highlights in Edinburgh?

Start with a Scottish Stepdance Workshop; then try a Ceilidh Plus night packed with Ceilidh dances and tunes from Scotland, China and the USA; dance through the Scottish Enlightenment and finish on a high note with another Ceilidh Plus event featuring Ceilidh dances and tunes from Scotland, Italy and Greece.

Click on the links below for all further details on each of the Ten out of Ten events across Edinburgh and stay tuned for the Ten out of Ten events across the rest of Scotland curated by our members based up and down the country. Browse and book now!

We are also delighted to be the national charity of choice for this year’s ReFashion Edinburgh – a sustainable slow fashion event curated by our Pomegranates 2024 festival fashion designer-in-residence Alison Harm. Help us celebrate our 10th birthday by raising funds towards our efforts to embed sustainability and diversity in the traditional dance across Scotland.
